Spin the Wheel

Spin a wheel of names or items to pick one at random. Whoever is picked can sit out the next spin, so everyone gets a turn.

About

Put the players, or your own items such as penalties, prizes or places for lunch, on the wheel and spin. The slice is chosen with cryptographic randomness before the wheel moves, and the spin is aimed well inside it, so the wheel never stops on a line.

Choosing who presents next, or a winner for every round? Turn on “Sit out whoever is picked” and the wheel gets smaller after every spin until everyone has had a turn. Up to 30 slices fit, and full screen makes the wheel big enough for a classroom or a stream.

  • Draw a ladder for up to 12 people and follow each line down to a penalty or prize. Every outcome is equally likely, wherever you stand.

  • Shuffle one card per person and let everyone pick in turn: winning cards and blanks, or your own penalties and prizes.

  • Split a list of names into 2 to 20 random teams of even size, member by member or all at once.

  • Roll one to six six-sided dice at once and see the total. Fair, quick, and easy to read across the room.
